Lab Aide Phlebotomist (PRN) – Whitefish

About the role

Logan Health Whitefish is seeking a Lab Aide Phlebotomist on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to support both the main hospital laboratory and the outpatient draw center. The role involves patient interaction, specimen collection, and processing while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures, explaining the process clearly to patients.
• Verify patient identification, label specimens accurately, and handle specimen transport to processing areas.
• Order, cancel, and track tests, ensuring correct requisition information.
• Provide timely updates on specimen status, escalating issues per department protocol.

Required profile

• Phlebotomy experience or completed coursework in phlebotomy or a related science.
• Current CPR certification for the assigned area(s).
• Strong organizational and critical‑thinking skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy techniques and specimen processing.
• CPR certification.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
