Per Diem School Nurse – Immediate Start

About the role

Alma del Mar Charter School is seeking a Per Diem School Nurse to start immediately. The nurse will run the school medical office, support student health needs, and accompany students on field trips when required.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ill students and staff and supervise prescribed medical treatments.
• Administer medication and first aid in compliance with regulations.
• Operate the school medical office independently.
• Attend field trips with students who have high medical needs.
• Provide emergency services for sudden illness or injury.
• Assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, manage, and refer care for acute or chronic student health conditions.
• Prepare health reports for the Nurse Leader, Department of Education, and Department of Public Health.

Required profile

• Current, valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• Experience working with children and families in a school or community setting (preferred).
• CPR certified.
• Strong team orientation.
• Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish, are strongly encouraged.
