Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant – Clinic Based

About the role

An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) will serve as the primary clinical provider at a remote, multi‑site health clinic serving Alliance Coal employees and their dependents. The role offers high clinical autonomy, strong physician collaboration, and comprehensive back‑office support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, urgent, and occupational health care across two clinic sites, including diagnostic studies such as phlebotomy and 12‑lead EKG.
• Manage chronic diseases (e.g., hypertension, diabetes) and conduct occupational health evaluations, fitness‑for‑duty assessments, and annual wellness visits.
• Perform minor procedures, preferably suturing, and offer telemedicine cross‑coverage for other sites.
• Coordinate referrals, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted APRN or PA license in Pennsylvania with DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
• Ability to practice independently with minimal supervision and reliable transportation for remote travel.
• National certification as an FNP or AGPCNP for NPs, or NCCPA certification for PAs.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy and 12‑lead EKG acquisition and interpretation.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Suturing and minor wound management (preferred).
