About the role
We are looking for a Judicial Law Clerk to support the development of AI systems that understand complex legal reasoning. The role is fully remote and requires approximately 15 hours per week, offering flexible scheduling while contributing to cutting‑edge legal technology.
Key responsibilities
- Review and annotate U.S. court opinions and legal filings sourced from CourtListener.
- Author complex legal reasoning problems grounded in real judicial documents.
- Apply legal judgment to evaluate case outcomes, reasoning quality, and document classification.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all structured tasks.
- Follow project guidelines and maintain high‑quality standards while meeting weekly deliverables.
Required profile
- At least 3 years of professional legal experience in a law firm, in‑house, government, or legal research organization.
- J.D., LL.M., or equivalent legal degree from a top U.S. university.
- Experience with U.S. federal or state court systems.
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis of legal texts.
- Ability to complete structured legal tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Availability to commit approximately 15 hours per week.
