Ironworker – Maryland Statewide Projects

About the role

Freyssinet, Inc. is looking for experienced ironworkers to support its Maryland Statewide Preservation Contract, working on bridge and infrastructure projects across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Assist welders with welding preparation and steel fabrication.
• Support steel installation, beam‑end retrofits, and structural repair on bridges and transportation infrastructure.
• Install, position, and secure steel components and rebar as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Perform material handling, site preparation, and general construction support tasks.

Required profile

• Experience in ironwork, structural steel, bridge maintenance, or related heavy civil construction.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and work at heights.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and OSHA 10 certification are a plus; D1.5 certification required.
