Investment Banking Associate/VP – Industrials – New York

About the role

Santander is seeking a Senior Associate / Vice President to support its Building Products and Distribution coverage within the Industrials Group. The role involves leading origination and execution of complex M&A transactions and building client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination and lead execution of M&A advisory transactions.
• Manage day‑to‑day deal processes, ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
• Oversee development and quality control of financial models and client materials.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients on transaction execution matters.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in collaboration with senior bankers.
• Provide mentorship to Analysts and Associates and travel as required.

Required profile

• 4+ years of corporate finance or M&A experience in the Industrials sector at a bulge‑bracket or leading boutique firm.
• Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Proven transaction execution experience in investment banking.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and synthesize large amounts of information.
• Experience with both sell‑side and buy‑side M&A processes.
