About the role
The State of Georgia seeks a dedicated Instructor for the Associate of Science in Education program. You will guide future paraprofessionals and teachers, delivering courses across day, evening, and online formats while supporting student success.
Key responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses within the Associate of Science in Education program, including dual‑enrollment classes.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and online content.
- Develop and maintain curriculum, syllabi, program goals, and learning objectives aligned with transfer standards.
- Deliver foundational education topics such as teaching and learning theory, diversity in educational contexts, and math‑science concepts for elementary and middle grades.
- Assess student progress, evaluate learning outcomes, and contribute to continuous program improvement.
- Provide academic advising, support, and guidance to students.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in education (or related field) with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Education.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in a P‑12 or post‑secondary setting.
- Preferred: Doctorate in Education, five or more years of teaching experience, supervisory or leadership experience, and experience preparing paraprofessionals.
