Inspector Level I – Truck & Railcar (Brownsville, TX)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a detail‑oriented Inspector Level I to perform truck and railcar inspections in Brownsville, TX, with rotational duties in Harlingen. The role offers cross‑functional training and exposure to marine inspection operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and railcars, checking structural integrity, safety compliance and documentation.
• Participate in cross‑training for railcar, truck and marine inspection procedures, including barge, vessel and shore tank sampling.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports in line with Bureau Veritas standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide flexible operational support across inspection areas and rotate between Brownsville and Harlingen as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification and TWIC card preferred.
• Ability to work shift schedules and perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Physical capability to climb, lift and stand for extended periods during field inspections.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
