Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, and security of Grand Bank for Savings' technology infrastructure, including data centers, virtualization, storage, backup, network and firewall layers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere environment across both data centers, handling host patching, clustering, VM provisioning and capacity planning.
• Manage Veeam Backup & Replication jobs, scale‑out repositories, cloud tiering and replication between primary and secondary sites.
• Maintain SAN storage (LUN provisioning, multipathing, firmware updates) and coordinate vendor support.
• Operate enterprise next‑generation firewalls, VPN, and cloud‑managed switching/wireless, ensuring policy compliance and firmware upgrades.
• Administer on‑premises Active Directory in hybrid mode with Microsoft Entra ID, including Group Policy and Intune.
• Provide tier‑2/3 escalation, support disaster‑recovery testing, and produce documentation for regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years administering Windows Server infrastructure, with 3+ years owning virtualization, backup and network administration.
• Proven experience as a generalist infrastructure engineer in a small IT team.
• Strong judgment about operational risk and ability to work independently on critical systems.

• Shared SAN administration (iSCSI or Fibre Channel).
• Enterprise next‑generation firewall configuration and VPN.
• Cloud‑managed switching, VLAN and wireless SSID management.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365.
• Enterprise patch management platforms and Microsoft Intune.
• TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, network segmentation and packet‑level troubleshooting.
