Head of Talent Acquisition – U.S. Trucking & International Remote Teams

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition to lead recruitment for U.S. OTR trucking and international remote teams. The role will design and own end‑to‑end hiring processes, build sourcing strategies, and manage a small recruiting team to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take immediate ownership of all company recruiting.
• Recruit international remote employees and U.S.-based employees across all departments.
• Build sourcing strategies for every open position.
• Proactively source, screen, interview, verify, and present qualified candidates.
• Create and maintain recruiting SOPs, interview scorecards, pipelines, and candidate‑verification standards.
• Manage recruiters, assign vacancies, monitor performance, and improve recruiting results.
• Track time‑to‑fill, candidate quality, retention, sourcing performance, and other recruiting KPIs.
• Hire department managers and help build the company’s management team.
• Provide weekly recruiting reports directly to the owner.
• Continuously improve hiring quality, speed, and retention.

Required profile

• At least 3 years recent recruiting experience supporting U.S. Class 8 OTR trucking companies.
• Minimum 2 years hiring international remote back‑office staff for U.S. trucking firms.
• Experience recruiting across multiple functions (dispatch, safety, fleet, operations, accounting, HR, IT, etc.).
• Proven track record hiring both individual contributors and managers.
• Experience building or owning a recruiting department, processes, SOPs, scorecards, pipelines, and KPIs.
• Experience managing recruiters and making independent hiring decisions.
• Strong proactive sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, referrals, ATS, and AI tools.
• Full‑time availability Monday‑Friday, 6 am‑3 pm Chicago Central Time.
