Head of Sales – AI Government Contract Platform

About the role

GovSignals is seeking multiple Heads of Sales to lead vertical growth of its AI‑driven government contracting platform. Reporting directly to the CRO, you will own a quota, close high‑value deals, and build a sales team that scales the vertical.

Key responsibilities

• Own a vertical quota and personally close six‑ and seven‑figure contracts with senior government contractor leaders.
• Prospect, run discovery calls, and manage the full sales cycle from pipeline generation to close.
• Demonstrate the GovSignals platform on live solicitations, showing real‑time proposal generation.
• Develop deep vertical market knowledge, including key primes, recompete calendars, and teaming networks.
• Hire, coach, and develop Account Executives as the vertical expands (player‑coach model, 80/20 split).

Required profile

• Proven experience selling SaaS or AI solutions to large government contractors or defense primes.
• Track record of closing high‑value, complex deals and meeting sales quotas.
• Ability to operate as both a top‑performing individual contributor and a team leader.
• Strong understanding of the government contracting ecosystem (FedRAMP, IL5, GSA MAS, etc.).
