Groundskeeper for The Waters at Hammond

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of The Waters at Hammond community. You will ensure common areas, amenities and landscaping are clean, well‑kept and meet Greystar’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet waste from all common areas and amenities.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and keep storage spaces tidy.
• Perform minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑over tasks.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates and other safety equipment function correctly.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to lift, carry and crawl in confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Required skills

• Operation of a golf cart.
• Basic lock‑changing procedures.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations.
