Maintenance Supervisor – Upper West Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of vendors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve resident service requests and routine maintenance issues, adhering to safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ordering as needed within budget guidelines.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and support budgeting for repair, maintenance and capital projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience; background in property or building maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Ability to use internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs; property‑management system experience preferred.

Required skills

• EPA Type I & II or Universal HVAC certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and ability to conduct safety meetings.
• Mathematical skills for reviewing financial and administrative documents.
