About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Ground Transportation Worker for the Food Service Department at East Central Regional Hospital. Under direct supervision, you will move passengers, mail, and materials across an assigned area using various modes of transport.
Key responsibilities
- Transport passengers, mail, and materials by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, automobile, van, or public conveyance.
- Learn and use radio communication to coordinate with remote office base stations and mobile units.
- Occasionally transport medications and emergency drug boxes between the pharmacy and hospital units.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and large vehicles such as bulldozers, dump trucks, and road graders.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
Required skills
- Operating heavy equipment.
- Driving large vehicles safely.
