Future Talent Neuroscience Discovery Co‑op (2027)

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a six‑month co‑op in the Neuroscience Discovery team, giving students hands‑on experience in CNS drug discovery. You will work on in‑vitro and in‑vivo projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary scientists to advance novel target validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, interpret and report in‑vitro and/or in‑vivo experiments, including cell‑based models and high‑throughput screening.
• Develop, troubleshoot and implement new assays, imaging methods, and biochemical analyses.
• Communicate data clearly to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor scientific literature to guide research directions.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and genetics groups.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a BS/BA/MA/PhD program in biological sciences, chemistry, pharmacy or related field, with at least two years completed by June 2026.
• Available full‑time for six months beginning early to mid‑2027.
• Strong interest in neuroscience and CNS drug discovery, with ability to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blot, ELISA).
• Cell culture (sterile mammalian cell lines, primary neuron culture, iPSC handling).
• Electrophysiology (patch‑clamp).
• Fluorescence microscopy and calcium imaging.
• In‑vivo rodent handling and pain‑behaviour testing.
