Frontend UI/UX Developer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Front‑End UI/UX Developer to join a 100% remote team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. You will help build an AI‑powered Patient Health Data Summarization capability within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces using modern front‑end frameworks.
• Create reusable components and data‑intensive visualizations that meet WCAG and ARIA standards.
• Integrate front‑end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring transparency and traceability of AI‑generated insights.
• Write automated unit, integration, and UI tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to quality standards.
• Collaborate in an Agile, multidisciplinary team on sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and production releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government/Public Trust clearance.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• React, Angular, Vue (or comparable component‑based frameworks).
• WCAG and ARIA accessibility implementation.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, C‑CDA, CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and AI‑assisted development tools.
