Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) serves as a senior, client‑facing technical advisor, conducting discovery and assessments to identify technology improvement opportunities for hedge funds and investment firms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions and perform comprehensive assessments of infrastructure, cloud platforms, identity systems, and security controls.
• Develop actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps aligned with client needs and industry best practices.
• Partner with sales, solutions, and engineering teams to shape project scopes and ensure proposed solutions fit delivery capabilities.
• Document findings, risks, and improvement initiatives in clear, structured reports.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or solution architecture.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with ability to translate technical findings into business‑focused recommendations.
• Willingness to travel for onsite client engagements as needed.
