Food Service Manager – Hospital

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee food and beverage operations at East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure safe, nutritious, and high‑quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily food preparation and service for the hospital’s cafeteria, patient meals, and special events.
• Supervise and schedule food service staff, providing training and performance feedback.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and storage of food supplies to control costs and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health codes, and hospital policies.
• Develop and adjust menus in collaboration with nutritionists to meet dietary requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in a food service operation with formal supervisory responsibilities, or one year at the Food Service Specialist level (FFT010) or equivalent.
• Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
