About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a Financial Management Intern to support its finance functions and gain hands‑on experience with the Bank’s financial statements, budgeting, and data analytics. The internship runs 10‑12 weeks during the summer, offering exposure to strategic initiatives and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with execution of the department’s strategic plan and development of future initiatives.
• Prepare journal entries, manage the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations.
• Support annual asset confirmation surveys and salvage value reviews.
• Contribute to budget preparation, maintenance, and customer‑service reporting.
• Develop data‑analytics tools and visualizations for executive‑level reporting.
• Research sourcing and contract data within the Bank’s ERP system and assist with procure‑to‑pay activities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green‑card holder with at least one semester remaining.
• Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment, both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Access or similar data‑access tools.
