Financial Analyst 3

About the role

The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency seeks a Financial Analyst 3 to support finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with federal, state and grant requirements while providing contract and grant administration support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer agency contracts and serve as the EMGrants System administrator.
• Analyze budget reports, assign accounting codes, and process requisitions through Team Georgia Marketplace.
• Provide technical assistance to employees, contractors, and program staff, including Concur and Workday transactions.
• Prepare and submit required reports, including E‑Verify, annual DOAA site reports, and grant documentation.
• Support State Operations Center duties during emergency or disaster activations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience combinations.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in finance and accounting tasks.
• Strong customer service, project management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to be on call with minimal notice and work nights or weekends during activations.

Required skills

• PeopleSoft/TeamWorks Financials (Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Reporting).
• Workday financial system.
• Concur travel administration.
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel (including Pivot Tables), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint.
• Grant management and reporting experience.
