Facilities Technician - Tier II

About the role

The Facilities Technician – Tier II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building infrastructure and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire safety equipment, and general infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues with minimal disruption.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment.
• Manage general upkeep such as painting, carpet replacement, and floor care.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire safety, emergency exits, and hazard prevention.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Assist with inventory management of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborate with operations, security, and other departments to address facility concerns.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or similar maintenance role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently, lift heavy equipment, and perform physical labor.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Plumbing and mechanical systems expertise.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
