Experienced Unarmed Patrol Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an experienced unarmed patrol officer in Honolulu, Hawaii, to work at a hotel and resort. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including hotels and resorts, by conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security concerns and providing guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors and staff by carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, incidents and critical situations, escalating matters according to location procedures.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel grounds, guest areas, parking locations, perimeter areas and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities and security observations in line with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
