Part-Time Airport Security Officer (Thursday/Sunday)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at its airport location in Honolulu, Hawaii. The position covers Thursday and Sunday shifts, with a pay rate of $24.25 per hour. Candidates must complete two weeks of paid, in-person training in full-time capacity before starting their scheduled shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Serve and safeguard clients across industries such as government, providing customer service to passengers, visitors and airport personnel while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of airport grounds, terminals, parking areas, access points and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security concerns, hazardous conditions and policy violations, and report them promptly to airport personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional interactions with the public, transportation partners and government personnel.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and physical exam.
• Preferred: ability to lift more than 20 pounds, comfort with a computer or tablet, and customer service experience.
