Airport Security Officer (Tuesday-Sunday)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer (Airport Security Officer) in Honolulu, Hawaii, working Tuesday through Sunday. The officer serves clients in sectors such as government, conducts routine patrols of assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to deter security incidents, reports observations and provides customer service to travelers, visitors and staff. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns and security incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, communicating with airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports and other required documentation.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and physical exam.
• Preferred: ability to lift more than 20 pounds, customer service experience, and comfort with a computer or tablet.
