Part-Time Security Officer (Hotel & Resort)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Honolulu, Hawaii, to work at a hotel and resort. The role is unarmed and involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, keeping a visible presence to deter security incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel and resort guests, visitors and staff while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, public spaces, parking areas, building perimeters and other assigned locations to spot and report unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, incidents, alarms and critical situations, escalating them according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the property, reporting suspicious behaviour, maintenance concerns and security issues to the right personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs and daily activity records in line with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: customer service experience and a state, county or city-issued security professional license.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
• Applicants undergo a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may be needed before employment.
