Executive Director, Software Investment Banking

About the role

Santander is seeking a senior executive to lead client relationships and drive revenue generation within its Software Investment Banking franchise. The role involves originating and executing complex M&A, capital markets and financing transactions for global technology clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client coverage, manage key accounts and generate revenue across M&A, capital markets and financing solutions.
• Oversee the strategic direction and execution of complex transactions, including due‑diligence and financial analysis.
• Develop and implement client coverage strategies to expand revenue and provide market insights.
• Mentor junior talent and build relationships with decision‑makers in the software sector worldwide.
• Travel as required to support senior deal teams and client engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 9+ years of experience in leveraged finance and investment banking, with a proven track record of deal execution.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage projects independently and interact effectively with clients.
• Experience with sell‑side and buy‑side M&A processes and equity/debt capital raises.
