EPC Construction Manager – Utility-Scale Solar

About the role

The EPC Construction Manager leads on‑site execution of utility‑scale solar photovoltaic projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all construction activities from mobilization through mechanical completion for projects ranging from 5 MW to 500 MW+
• Manage daily field operations, sequencing, workforce planning and serve as the on‑site authority for decisions and issue resolution
• Control schedule and cost, track productivity, and support change management and claim mitigation
• Oversee subcontractors across civil, electrical, racking and commissioning scopes, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety and quality
• Champion safety culture, conduct JHAs, toolbox talks and lead incident investigations
• Ensure construction meets drawings, specifications and codes, coordinate inspections and close out punch‑list items
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management and client teams to resolve RFIs and support commissioning

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of construction management experience, including at least 3 years on utility‑scale solar EPC projects
• Proven ability to manage large subcontractor teams and multiple scopes simultaneously
• Strong understanding of EPC contracts, schedules and cost controls
• Willingness to travel extensively and work full‑time on project sites

Required skills

• Solar PV construction methods, electrical systems, civil works and balance‑of‑plant scope
• Construction management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project or Procore
• Safety compliance knowledge (OSHA, site‑specific safety plans)
• Quality assurance and inspection coordination
