About the role
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will lead safety and environmental initiatives for the Newburgh MCC Can Plant. You will develop training programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement of EHS systems across a 24/7 operation.
Key responsibilities
- Create and review strategic training plans for both team members and leadership, aligning with corporate EHS guidelines.
- Lead investigations of environmental non‑compliance incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Represent the facility with external regulatory agencies and compile required EHS data for local, state, and federal reporting.
- Develop and manage daily EHS operations, including risk assessments, safety audits, and improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, Business Management or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence all organizational levels.
- Willingness to work any shift, provide on‑call coverage, and occasional weekends/holidays.
- Ability to interpret OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements and apply them on the shop floor.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
