Enrichment/Recreation Instructor

About the role

Circle Haven seeks a compassionate and creative Enrichment Instructor to lead individual and small‑group classes for adults with disabilities. The role involves designing and delivering activities such as music, movement, life skills, and wellness, adapting each session to participants’ varied abilities and communication styles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging enrichment classes tailored to adults with intellectual, developmental, autism, anxiety, and physical disabilities.
• Adapt activities and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and support levels.
• Maintain a respectful, supportive environment and track participant attendance and progress.
• Collaborate with staff to organize performances, music groups, and community events.

Required profile

• Experience teaching, facilitating, coaching, or leading groups, preferably with special‑needs populations.
• Creative, patient, and flexible teaching style with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Background in education, recreation, music, art, special education, psychology, therapeutic recreation, human services, social work, or related fields is preferred.
