Engineering Tools Administrator

About the role

Cornelis Networks is looking for an Engineering Tools Administrator to manage developer tools and lab systems for its software engineering organization. The role focuses on keeping GitHub, Jira, Confluence, AWS, and lab infrastructure reliable, secure, and easy to use.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the GitHub organization, including permissions, team hierarchies, branch protection, templates, and webhooks.
• Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permission schemes, custom fields, and automation rules; manage Confluence spaces.
• Manage lab infrastructure access, SSH accounts, and maintain an accurate inventory of lab assets.
• Perform routine AWS administration such as IAM changes, EC2 lifecycle, S3 access, tagging, and cost review, collaborating with the DevOps team on VPC and account changes.
• Partner with program management, engineering management, and DevOps to align tooling with governance and reporting needs.
• Provide frontline support and documentation for developer requests related to GitHub, Jira, AWS, and lab machine access.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in IT, DevOps, or lab/system support.
• Proven experience administering GitHub and Jira/Confluence, with depth in at least one platform.
• Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu).
• Experience with routine AWS administration (IAM, EC2, S3, basic VPC).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a customer‑service mindset.
