Emergency Medical Technician – Special Events

About the role

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will join Lehigh Valley Health Network’s special events medicine team, providing patient care at concerts, sporting events, mass gatherings and trade shows. The role supports the delivery of safe, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient care based on medical plans and protocols, using a family‑centered approach.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for each shift.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and the event medicine team.
• Utilize assessment and stabilization skills for on‑site patient care.
• Maintain and clean medical equipment, ambulances, and crew quarters.
• Complete shift checklists and all required documentation, including patient care charting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience working as an EMT.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.

Required skills

• Computer skills for documentation and equipment use.
• EMT‑B certification (Emergency Medical Technician – Basic) – State of Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
