Elevator Service Technician – Baltimore & DC Metro

About the role

Delaware Elevator, Inc. is seeking an experienced Elevator Service Technician to support customers in Baltimore and the surrounding DC Metro area. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of elevator systems in both private and public facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, service, adjust, and test mechanical and electrical elevator systems across diverse environments.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call rotations to address emergencies, entrapments, and urgent repairs.
• Travel to job sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays and handling heavy equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of independent experience as an elevator mechanic/technician.
• Valid state elevator mechanic license or equivalent credentials.
• Physically capable of meeting fit‑for‑duty requirements and handling heavy loads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mechanical elevator systems.
• Proficiency with electrical elevator systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
