Maintenance Technician – High Rise Lease‑Up

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a high‑rise lease‑up property in Laurel. You will ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of materials, supplies, tools and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and building issues.
• Experience preparing vacant apartments for new occupants.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Willingness to perform general cleaning, landscaping support and minor painting tasks.
• Commitment to safety standards and cost‑effective maintenance practices.
