Electrical Engineer II

About the role

Assist in designing, developing, documenting, and testing Atec products, including hardware, firmware, and application programs for military and commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering staff to develop hardware, firmware, documentation, and testing procedures.
• Design and document electrical hardware using digital, analog, and microprocessor‑based components.
• Prepare product layouts, schematics, detail drawings, wire run lists, and assist with prototype building.
• Compile and analyze test data to establish Acceptance Test Standards and create technical manuals, ATPs, QTPs, and ICDs.
• Coordinate equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and support manufacturing during prototype construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET‑accredited) or equivalent experience.
• 3–8 years of experience in design and development of electrical/electronic components and systems.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO quality standards and ability to follow related procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Required skills

• Analog and digital circuit design, including power and electro‑mechanical components.
• Microprocessor‑based design and firmware debugging.
• Programming in C, Assembly, ladder logic, and CAN protocols (e.g., LabVIEW).
• Schematic capture and electrical wiring software.
• Circuit simulation, NI software, HMI software, and Microsoft Office.
