Disaster Restoration Sales Representative

About the role

ServiceMaster Premier Restoration Services in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a full-time Disaster Restoration Sales Representative. The role manages relationships with current customers and referral sources and looks for additional revenue opportunities. The base salary is $58,000-$70,000, with bonuses on top of salary based on the sales tier percentage of jobs sold.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers before and after service to ensure satisfaction and develop additional prospects
• Prospect and develop new sales leads in assigned verticals
• Build and maintain key relationships with insurance agents and adjusters
• Continuously build product knowledge and refine sales techniques for each relationship type and vertical
• Prepare documents for job-file reviews with current and prospective clients
• Document and report on key referral-source relationships weekly and monthly
• Participate in collections with non-residential customers when necessary and resolve customer issues

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in the disaster restoration field; IICRC certifications preferred
• 6-12 months of sales experience or prior sales training highly desired
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Background check required; no felonies
• Local and regional travel may be required for trade shows, training, networking events and immediate post-disaster sales; some work outside normal hours to network at business events

Required skills

• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Aptitude for basic math for sales calculations
• Ability to present information one-on-one and in small groups
• Skilled use of social media and other web-based sales tools
