About the role

The Director of Real Estate – Conventional Owned Asset Operations leads Greystar’s Management Services business for a defined portfolio of assets in a region. Reporting to a senior operations leader, the role translates strategy into results, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and superior resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution and performance of the regional portfolio, ensuring alignment with property‑level strategies and corporate initiatives.
• Hold Regional Property Managers accountable for regular site visits, inspections, risk mitigation, and timely issue resolution.
• Prioritize and conduct high‑impact site visits based on operational risk, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators such as delinquency, turnover, and make‑ready timelines.
• Maintain transparent communication with senior leadership on client needs, decisions, and performance outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in real‑estate operations or asset management.
• Track record of delivering operational and financial results across a multi‑property portfolio.
• Strong ability to develop, inspire, and hold Regional Property Managers accountable.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior executives and strengthening client relationships.
