Director of Loan Originations

About the role

The Director, Loan Originations leads the loan origination team for Cinnaire Lending Corporation, overseeing Loan Officers and Assistant Loan Officers across a nine‑state Midwest and Mid‑Atlantic region. This senior position reports to the SVP of Loan Origination Services and drives growth through partnership development and product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Train and supervise the Loan Originations team on CDFI loan structuring, risk management, and customer service standards.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with other CDFIs, state housing finance agencies, lenders, and partners.
• Gather feedback on loan products and collaborate with the executive team to modify or create new offerings.
• Represent Cinnaire Lending at industry conferences to generate lending and participation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Seven or more years of business development experience in community development lending, preferably at a certified CDFI.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Experience leading and motivating professional teams.
• Knowledge of affordable housing and CDFI lending trends and strategies.
