Director of Collections

About the role

Cashera, a fast‑growing fintech lender, is looking for a strategic Director of Collections to lead and scale its collections organization. This senior position will shape collection strategies, drive recovery performance, and build a high‑performing team in a dynamic, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive collections strategy for early‑stage, mid‑stage, and late‑stage accounts.
• Lead, mentor, and grow collections managers and agents, establishing clear KPIs and performance standards.
• Implement best‑in‑class collection practices, tools, and workflows to improve recovery rates.
• Monitor delinquency trends, roll rates, and other portfolio metrics, reporting regularly to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Risk, Underwriting, Operations, and Finance to enhance portfolio quality and reduce losses.
• Evaluate and deploy technology solutions, automation, and process improvements for operational efficiency.
• Develop forecasting models and staffing plans aligned with portfolio growth.
• Present performance results and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of collections experience in financial services, fintech, lending, MCA, or alternative finance.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing collections teams or supervisors.
• Deep knowledge of collections regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to manage key metrics such as delinquency, roll rates, charge‑offs, and recovery percentages.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
