Director of Business Development – Due Diligence Services

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth of its full Due Diligence platform across the Midwest. The role focuses on environmental and building‑science assessments that support commercial real‑estate transactions such as acquisitions, refinancing, dispositions, and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales strategy and execution for the complete due‑diligence offering across the Midwest territory.
• Build and expand relationships with lenders, private‑equity firms, developers, owners, REITs, brokers, and legal counsel.
• Translate environmental and physical asset risk into actionable insights aligned with deal timelines.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate scoping, rapid delivery, and high‑quality service.
• Develop and manage a territory‑specific sales plan, pipeline, forecasting, and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 2–5+ years of business development, sales, or client‑management experience in due diligence, environmental consulting, engineering, or commercial‑real‑estate services.
• Proven track record selling due‑diligence services (e.g., Phase I, Phase II, PCA, FCA).
• Strong understanding of how environmental and physical risks affect deal execution and underwriting.
• Existing relationships in the Midwest CRE market are strongly preferred.
