Director, Clinical Operations

About the role

The Director, Clinical Operations leads strategy and delivery for hospital‑based outpatient clinics within UHealth/SoLé Mia. This senior leader drives operational efficiency, financial performance, and patient experience while aligning with university and hospital leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement resource management models covering operational, financial, and administrative aspects.
• Design patient‑centered telephone call strategies, benchmark visit and wait times, and create dashboards for patient flow.
• Establish non‑physician provider care delivery models, set expectations, and track metrics.
• Review and optimize clinic staffing models to increase productivity and patient volume.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to resolve patient and family issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Represent UHealth at community events and maintain professional affiliations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in clinical operations or health‑care management.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train teams.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles.
• Experience establishing department goals that support strategic plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
