Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Registered Vascular Technologist

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist to perform ultrasound and vascular examinations in its Bath health center. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment within a nationally recognized health system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on vascular systems according to physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist with specialized exams and vascular procedures using advanced imaging techniques.
• Maintain quality control, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and participate in quality‑improvement activities.
• Coordinate imaging parameters and protocols with radiologists and update protocols as needed.
• Obtain and verify patient consents, produce diagnostic images, and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved CAHEA diagnostic medical sonography program and in good standing with ARDMS.
• Ability to reason logically, assess performance, and handle confidential medical information ethically.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
