Data Steward Internship

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to learn data governance processes within a global financial institution. You will support the Data Steward department and gain exposure to data ownership, quality rule attestation, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation and coordination of monthly Data Owner materials and meetings across key domains such as Risk, Finance, Operations, and Commercial Products.
• Gather and validate information from stakeholders, prepare meeting decks, document decisions, and track outstanding deliverables.
• Assist with periodic attestation activities, including coordinating reviews, preparing inventories, collecting feedback, and documenting outcomes.
• Contribute to the monthly Data Owner governance cycle, ITWG reporting, project and rule attestations, and remediation tracking.
• Complete at least one process‑improvement initiative that delivers a measurable improvement to the Data Management team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow up on deliverables.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders across different business areas.
• Interest in data management, data governance, banking, risk management or data analytics.
