Customer Support Technician II (ALD)

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Customer Support Technician II to perform Tier I procedures, preventative maintenance, and wet cleans on semiconductor equipment in Austin, TX. The role supports customers in clean‑room environments and contributes to the reliability of advanced display and chip manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform standard Tier I procedures including wafer measurement.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and independent wet cleans.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit‑management quality.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems using test equipment and documentation.

Required profile

• Physically able to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 35 lb, and work in clean‑room attire.
• Willingness to work night shifts and travel up to 20 % of the time.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and IP guidelines.

Required skills

• Wafer measurement techniques.
