Customer Service Representative

About the role

This Customer Service Representative position focuses on delivering responsive service, coordinating order fulfillment, and acting as the primary point of contact for product, pricing, and shipment inquiries. The role supports internal teams and external customers in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer purchase orders accurately, including data entry, validation, and updates in ERP and order‑management systems.
• Respond to inbound inquiries about product availability, pricing, usage, and specifications.
• Coordinate scheduled order releases by reviewing timing, product availability, and customer commitments.
• Investigate and resolve shipment problems reported by customers, carriers, or internal shipping teams.
• Partner with planning, operations, and other internal groups to accelerate parts availability and manage urgent deliveries.
• Send order confirmations and status updates throughout the order cycle.
• Maintain customer‑specific procedures, scheduling agreements, and portal requirements.
• Evaluate customer performance metrics and prepare follow‑up actions.
• Handle escalated service concerns and provide backup assistance as needed.
• Support onboarding of new team members and share customer requirements with engineering or other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service, account support, or order‑management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements, maintain detailed records, and manage multiple priorities accurately.
