Fall 2026 Manufacturing Engineering Co‑Op

About the role

This co‑op position supports Bosch Charleston’s manufacturing operations during the Fall 2026 term. Engineering students will work on real‑world production challenges, helping to improve output, quality, and process efficiency on the automotive line.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate troubleshooting activities for equipment or process issues.
• Communicate project status with operational and departmental managers.
• Develop software tools to increase data transparency.
• Plan and execute production trials, focusing on equipment and process quality.
• Assist in training and documentation for hourly and salaried associates.
• Update machine drawings to enhance equipment robustness.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, control plans, PFMEA, and gage logs.
• Design or improve fixtures, gages, robot grippers, and workplace layouts using SolidWorks.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
• Self‑starter with a results‑oriented mindset.
