Crop Claims Field Adjuster I/II/Specialist – Kansas (Remote)

About the role

Zurich is seeking experienced professionals to join its Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team as Crop Claims Field Adjuster I, II, or Specialist. The role is home‑based, covering a 100‑mile radius of selected Kansas counties, with approximately 50% travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins, and discuss crop loss findings with farmers.
• Interpret complex regulations and communicate claim situations to claimants, agents, and industry partners.
• Gather factual evidence of crop damage, record information, and transmit loss data to determine indemnities.
• Perform claim reviews and audits of lower‑level adjusters as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience: 6+ months for Adjuster I, 2+ years for Adjuster II, 4+ years for Specialist.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and ability to travel within the territory.
• Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in fields, climb bins up to 25 ft, and lift 25‑50 lb.

Required skills

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) – required for Adjuster I (within 180 days) and Adjuster II.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
