Crop Claims Field Adjuster II – Remote (South Dakota)

About the role

Zurich is seeking a Crop Claims Field Adjuster II to serve the South Dakota region from a home‑based office. This full‑time position involves traveling up to 50% of the time within a 100‑mile radius of designated counties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins, and discuss loss findings with farmers on complex claims.
• Communicate complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders.
• Gather factual information, apply applicable law, and determine potential indemnities.
• Perform claim reviews and audits of lower‑level adjusters as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of crop insurance and claims adjusting experience.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable personal transportation for travel within the territory.
• Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in fields, climb bins up to 25 ft, and lift 25‑50 lb.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP).
