Credentialing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time remote Credentialing Specialist to lead and support all aspects of provider credentialing at Sailor Health. You will own end‑to‑end enrollment of providers and practice locations in Medicare via PECOS, manage credentialing with Medicare Advantage plans, and maintain accurate CAQH profiles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full credentialing lifecycle for new and existing providers, including Medicare (PECOS), Medicare Advantage plans, and other payers.
• Maintain and update CAQH profiles to ensure they reflect current provider credentials and practice information.
• Assess and improve credentialing workflows using Airtable, automation tools, and best practices.
• Write, maintain, and iterate standard operating procedures for credentialing functions.
• Track credentialing status, re‑credentialing deadlines, and plan requirements to ensure uninterrupted participation in payer networks.
• Partner with Clinical Operations, Payer Strategy, and Provider Growth teams to align priorities and share updates.

Required profile

• 3+ years of direct experience in provider enrollment and credentialing, both group and individual.
• Extensive experience with PECOS enrollments, including I&A and correction requests.
• Prior work with Medicare Advantage health plans and their credentialing requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
