Corporate Sales Account Executive

About the role

The Corporate Sales Account Executive handles B2B sales for the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and events at 313 Presents venues, including suites leases and rentals, club seats and other revenue-generating programs. The role relies on constant dialogue through meetings, telephone, email and prospecting.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve individual and team sales goals and generate revenue through corporate sales for new stadium and arena projects.
• Sell products such as premium leases, rentals, club seats, group and season tickets through a B2B process.
• Research, prospect and build leads for corporate relationships through industry networking.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
• Cultivate new relationships and optimise existing accounts through excellent customer service.
• Report weekly pipeline updates and sales activity to the Director of Corporate Sales.
• Keep client information current and accurate in the CRM and process ticket orders promptly.
• Make at least 50-60 cold calls and 5 face-to-face appointments per week.
• Ensure timely payment collection, monitor ticket fulfillment and keep detailed purchase history records.
• Attend games, client entertainment (lunches, golf outings) and suite hosting, and take part in promotions and networking events.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in sports management, marketing communications or a related field.
• 1-3 years of sales experience in sports/entertainment, media or sales.
• Proven track record of building B2B relationships and sales.
• High integrity, assertive, competitive, goal-oriented and able to work long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (preferred).
• Excellent time management, organisation, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and to negotiate creative solutions.
