Inside Sales Representative

About the role

The Inside Sales Representative drives sales of ticket packages for all sports and entertainment through cold calling to generate new business, while also developing new customer relationships and strengthening ties with existing ones. The position is based in Detroit.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
• Research and prospect new leads and sell ticket packages for sports and entertainment, with additional goals for group and premium seating.
• Make at least 75 outgoing cold calls per day and set up at least 10 face-to-face appointments per week.
• Handle incoming calls from prospects and process ticket orders promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to generate new clients, repeat business and referrals.
• Network and run sales promotion programs during sports and entertainment events and other activities.
• Maintain and submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Ensure timely payment collection, monitor ticket fulfillment and keep detailed purchase history records.
• Contribute positively to the sales team atmosphere.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; one year of related experience preferred but not required.
• High integrity and ethical standards, assertive, competitive, goal-oriented and hardworking.
• Friendly, professional and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to work long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: experience in the sports and entertainment industry and knowledge of ticketing sources.

Required skills

• Excellent time management and organization, able to meet daily and weekly call, appointment and sales targets.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
